Vet the Vote: A mock election to encourage New Hampshire veterans to volunteer as poll workers
The New Hampshire Secretary of State’s Office is a proud partner of Vet the Vote, a nonprofit organization that encourages veterans across the country to volunteer as poll workers in their local communities. To encourage New Hampshire veterans to volunteer, the Secretary of State’s Office held a joint, mock election event with Vet the Vote in October. During the event, local election officials, many of them veterans, ran a mock election for any interested member of the public who wanted to learn more about New Hampshire elections. Participants were encouraged to ask questions and learn more about how local and state officials ensure the Granite State’s elections remain transparent and secure.
