BOARD OF AUCTIONEERS MINUTES

Legislative Office Building Room 307, Concord, NH

February 6, 2012, 9:00 a.m.

 

 

1.         The Board of Auctioneers convened at 9:00 a.m. with Vice-Chairperson Jay T. St. Jean, Secretary Richard C. Berman, Member Russell R. Abbott, and Member Roy W. Tilsley present; Chairperson Frank L. Eaton was absent.

 

2.         The Board on motion of Richard C. Berman, seconded by, Roy W. Tilsley accepted the minutes of the January 9, 2012 meeting.

 

3.         Thomas D. Troon presented a course outline and curriculum for approval of The New England School of Auctioneering.  The Board will deliberate at their next meeting on March 5, 2012.

 

4.         The Board on motion of Richard C. Berman, seconded by Russell R. Abbott, authorized the application of Kevin G. Frey for an Auctioneers License.

 

5.             The Board on motion of Richard C. Berman, seconded by Russell R. Abbott, authorized the application of Theresa Gravlin for an Auctioneers License.

 

6.             The Board on motion of Richard C. Berman, seconded by Russell R. Abbott, authorized the application of Lawrence J. Spellman for an Auctioneers License.

 

7.             The Board on motion of Richard C. Berman, seconded by Russell R. Abbott, voted to accept and place on file the 2011 NALLOA Report.

 

8.         The Board did not go into non-public session today.

REMINDER:  Next month is the annual election of officers – the terms are as follows:

 

Richard C Berman - April 20, 2005 to March 1, 2014 (Ends the 2nd Consecutive Term)

Jay T. St. Jean – May 2, 2007 to March 1, 2012 (Resigning at Term End)

Frank L. Eaton – March 5, 2008 to March 1, 2013

Russell R. Abbott – March 30, 2011 to March 1, 2016

Roy W. Tilsley – September 28, 2011 to March 1, 2016

 

11.          Further Business:  The Board presented Jay T. St. Jean with a citation from the Governor for his years of service.

 

12.       The Board on motion of Russell R. Abbott seconded by Richard C. Berman then Adjourned at 10:40 a.m.
